What can I grow in a polytunnel?

Nearly every crop you could think of will grow in a polytunnel, just prepare the gound as you would your garden. It is even possible to grow crops that you are unable to grow in your open ground.

I live in an area exposed to winds, would your polytunnel still be standing after a gale?

Our polytunnels are of a sound design using top quality materials, so withstands most poor weather conditions, provided it has been installed correctly. Nursery growers and commercial growers could not run their businesses if their polytunnels got spoiled. Additional frame and ridge bracing supports are available which are installed when you construct your polytunnel.

How easy is your polytunnel to build?

We provide step by step assembly instructions at the time of your purchase . Do contact us by e-mail or telephone if you want to discuss your situation prior to purchase or afterwards.

Are there hidden extras?

No. Our polytunnel kit comes complete with the steel structure, timber end frames & fixings. You then choose the type of cover you requiire from our product options - Anti Hot Spot Tape is supplied with the cover. Different Door types, Mid Rails and Ground Rails etc are available as an optional extra. Please contact us if you need any help deciding which accessories you need.

How do I determine which type of polythene I need?

For crops that you would normally grow in your garden Visqueen Standard Polythene is ideal. However we offer a complete range of different types of polythene. If you need help deciding which type is right for you please contact us.

How do I determine the size I need?

The main factors in deciding what size you need is what you are going to use the polytunnel for and how much space you have. Polytunnels have a variety of uses as well as growing crops you can use it to store items such as boats, caravans and garden machinery. Polytunnels also work well as a cover over swimming pools. Please contact us If you need any help working out what size you need.

Can I heat the polytunnel?

Yes, the polythene cover is of commercial strength and will not burn as long as you do not direct the heat at the polythene film!

Can I put livestock in?

We supply a complete range of Livestock & Poultry housing which is taylored to these animals needs.

I need more space, so can your polytunnel be moved, and could I add more sections?

Yes. However we suggest that you talk to us first to discuss your installation. The polythene would need to be replaced and you may need more ground tubes.

Can I just get another cover?

Yes, we would be pleased to supply a replacement cover. If you know what size you need you can order online from our Cladding section. If you need help please contact us with the size of your polytunnel and we use the measurements that you provide to calculate your requirements.

I am worried about tearing the cover accidentally, what do I do then?

We supply repair tape by post; this will patch up most tears and rips in the polythene. You can order this from our Cladding section in Tapes for olytunnels.

Is there a delivery charge? How much does it cost?

While the majority of products on our Website are free delivery all our single span polytunnels from our Standad and Euro ranges are subject to delivery charges. The amount depends on where in the country you live. Please see below our illistrated guide to calculate your delivery charge.
